“Holiday Magic” Comes Early for Rockville ResidentRockville resident Suzanne McQueen recently had the unexpected pleasure of a little early holiday cheer thanks to winning the first $25,000 top prize in the CT Lottery instant game, “Holiday Magic.”
“When I saw the name of the game, I thought…the holidays are coming…maybe I’ll get a little magic and win,” McQueen told lottery officials with a laugh. “Sure enough, I did!”
McQueen and her husband, Jay, arrived at Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill to claim her prize check for $17,076 (value after taxes). “I haven’t been on a vacation in 12 years, so we’re going to take the family on a trip to Disney!” said McQueen. “We’ll also do some home improvements—and get a new dog, a Golden Retriever! Maybe we’ll call him ‘Magic,’” McQueen quipped.
For selling McQueen her top prize winning Holiday Magic ticket, Naina Mart, located at 81 Union Street in Vernon, will receive a $250 bonus check from the CT Lottery.
