The odds of matching only the Mega Ball number involve a combination of two probabilities:

1. Not matching any white ball numbers; and
2. Matching only the Mega Ball number.

When these two probabilities are considered together, the odds of matching only the Mega Ball number are calculated to be 1 in 37. This takes into account the specific combination of events required to achieve this outcome, rather than a straightforward 1 in 25 chance, which might be expected based on the total number of Mega Ball numbers.
