Powerball Jackpot Raised to $325 Million!Spurred by heavy sales - at $2 a ticket - the Feb. 11 Powerball jackpot was raised this afternoon to an estimated annuity value of $325 million and a $202.9 million cash prize – the largest cash jackpot in the game’s history.
"It’s exciting to see the Powerball jackpot rise to the $325 million level, and we're hoping to see a CT player win that prize Saturday night,” said CT Lottery President and CEO, Anne M. Noble.
Powerball is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59pm. Tickets for this Powerball drawing will be available until 9:50pm Saturday at more than 2,700 Lottery retailers statewide. Because demand for tickets will continue to rise until tomorrow night’s drawing, players are advised to purchase tickets early to avoid the last-minute rush.
The overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 31.8 based on a $2.00 play. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510 million. Purchasers must be 18 or older. The Lottery also reminds players to please play responsibly.
