Fast Play $128,402:

Some trips home deliver more than expected. A New Haven native who relocated to Columbia, Missouri a decade ago was back in Connecticut to celebrate the birth of his granddaughter. While visiting the newest member of his family, he stopped to pick up a Casino Cash Progressive Fast Play ticket at the Alltown rest stop off I-95 North by exits 61-62 in Madison. It was his first time ever playing the game…the ticket was worth $128,402. The moment was an unexpected one, to say the least. The winner says he kept looking at the ticket. "I couldn't believe it, I had to double check again," he said. He purchased the ticket on February 15th and it took several weeks before it finally sank in that yes, this was real.

The winner says he plans to share some of his prize money with his daughter and, of course, his new granddaughter. He says it's never easy heading back to Missouri — but this time, he's going home a lot richer. He also says he'll miss the Connecticut pizza terribly.

Cash5 $100,000:

A Hartford man joked that his wife almost dialed 9-1-1 after he found out he had won $100,000 playing Cash5 on the CT Lottery app. "I thought he was having a heart attack," said the man's wife. "But then he told me he won a hundred grand." The winner says he chose the winning numbers on the CT Lottery app while he was in bed because they "just came to me — I liked them." He says he loves the convenience of being able to play CT Lottery games right from his phone. The couple says they plan to use the prize money to pay off bills.

$500,000 CASHWORD 2nd Edition:

Sometimes a little luck finds you when you least expect it. A Wallingford woman decided to try her luck and picked up a $500,000 CASHWORD 2nd Edition scratch ticket at Checkers Food Store on N. Colony Street in Wallingford. The ticket turned out to be worth the top prize: $500,000. She says she couldn't believe it at first. But once it sank in, she called the win a blessing. She plans to use the money to pay off bills and look after her family.

Powerball $250,000:

Sometimes a quick stop on the way home pays off in a big way. A Bloomfield man who plays draw games every now and then grabbed a Quick Pick Powerball ticket with the Power Play option while stopping for gas at the Shell on Jerome Avenue in Bloomfield for the November 5, 2025 drawing. His ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball, good for a $50,000 prize. But because he purchased the $1 Power Play option and that night's multiplier hit 5X, his $50,000 instantly became $250,000.

He checked the ticket more than once to be sure. "I didn't believe it," he said. The winner plans to put the money toward bills and says he'll keep on playing.
