Wednesday's Powerball Jackpot Heats Up to an Impressive $257 Million!
When no one matched the winning Powerball numbers last Saturday, the jackpot for the Wednesday, June 11th drawing heated up, much like Connecticut’s recent pre-summer temperatures; to an impressive $257 million ($151.9 million estimated cash value). While the Powerball
jackpot has been won several times this year, it hasn’t rolled this high since February.
"The chance to win a $257 million Powerball jackpot is certainly high enough to capture anyone’s attention,” said the CT Lottery’s President and CEO, Anne Noble. “We’re hoping to see a lot of Connecticut players win, and hopefully win the jackpot!”
Because demand for tickets will continue to rise until the Wednesday night drawing, players are encouraged to purchase their Powerball tickets early to avoid the last-minute rush.
Powerball is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59pm. Tickets are available at more than 2,900 Lottery retailers statewide.
