24-Year-Old Pizza Shop Owner’s Lottery Ticket Delivers $50,000Twenty-four-year-old, Samuel Silva of Fairfield has done pretty well for himself. As a busy owner and operator of a pizza shop in Greenwich, Silva has little time to enjoy the lottery. “Once in a blue moon I’ll play.” It wasn’t until his employees mentioned playing the Lottery that Silva decided to try his luck on a “
5X The Money 8th Edition” ticket.
Silva headed across the street to play not knowing his ticket would show a $50,000 top prize! Using a penny to scratch the ticket, the pizza shop owner plans to save it for future use. “It’s a lucky penny—heads up!” Silva chuckled.
After revealing his top prize, Silva couldn’t believe his big win and told his mother first, who reacted in a similar fashion. “Wow, really!?”
When asked what he plans to do with his winnings, Silva responded with a smile, “Save up. Back to work—probably go celebrate in New York City with friends.”
For selling the winning ticket, Greenwich Cigar Store located on 91 Railroad Avenue in Greenwich will receive a $500 check from the CT Lottery.
