Scores of “Summertime Super Draw” Winners Step Forward to Claim Their PrizesWith each passing day, scores of lucky Summertime Super Draw winning ticketholders have stepped forward to claim their prizes. While many more of the game’s 2,131 guaranteed prizes remain to be claimed, several of the more notable winners were quick to cash in on their good fortune:
Terrence Brewer of The Villages, Florida, snapped up the game’s single $1,000,000 top prize the day after the July 6th Summertime Super Draw was held. Brewer’s winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms #4755 at 333 Talcottville Road in Vernon.
Paula Purvis of Hampton, the first of five winners to claim their $20,000 prize, was still in shock when she arrived at CT Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill. “I found out the night of the drawing, right before bed, that I won. I was so excited, that I couldn’t even sleep!”
Edward King of Bristol was another lucky Super Draw ticketholder with a $20,000 number match. “I’m not typically lucky,” King said. “I picked up a winning numbers report at the store and brought it home to check it. I couldn’t believe it—I actually had a match!”
Yesterday, Kenneth Messenger of Middlebury enthusiastically claimed the fifth and final $20,000 prize in the game. “I almost missed this ticket,” Messenger said. “I checked two tickets the day after the drawing; neither were winners. This one was still in my safe—I forgot about it. I was shocked to find out it was a winner. It’s going right in the bank!”
The remaining two $20,000 prize winners were Lisa Christiansen of Burlington and John Arasimowicz of Groton.
Other guaranteed Summertime Super Draw prizes included 25 winners of $1,000 each, 100 winners of $500 each, and 2,000 winners of $100 each.
The winning names, stories and photos on this website are just a small number of the thousands who claim prizes. The fact is, people win every day with the CT Lottery! Below is a list of recently claimed prizes of $10,000 or more. Please Note: When a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.
