Abel Carreno Takes Home $30,000 Top Prize in CT Lottery’s Match & Win Instant GameAbel Carreno of Stamford has taken home a top prize of $30,000 in the CT Lottery’s “Match & Win, 2nd Edition” instant scratch game.
Last Saturday when he purchased his ticket at China Pavilion Variety store on Broad Street in Stamford, he scratched it at the store, and used the Lottery Ticket Checker to verify his win. The self-employed contractor immediately signed the back of the ticket before coming into the CT Lottery headquarters today to claim his prize. “I could not believe I had won” said Carreno.
When asked his plans for the recent windfall, the husband and father of two says he would like to use the money for a down payment on a house.
