Fairfield County Sells $254.2 Million Powerball Jackpot drawn on Nov. 2!
It’s a new day, Connecticut! Even though many throughout the state remain without power after Saturday’s unexpected snowfall, one amazingly lucky CT Lottery Powerball
ticketholder will have all the power they need—in the form of a $254.2 million winning Powerball jackpot ticket.
It is the largest prize ever won in CT Lottery history!
Nationwide, 2,277,427 winning tickets were purchased for the November 2, 2011 Powerball drawing. Of the 28,690 of those tickets sold in Connecticut, one ticket sold in Fairfield County matched all six numbers correctly, resulting in a $254.2 million windfall for the yet unknown winner.
The winning numbers were 12-14-34-39-46 and a Powerball of 36. Power Play multiplier number is 4.
The CT Lottery encourages everyone to check their tickets carefully, and to sign the back of their tickets immediately, if they have not already done so, to establish ownership.
Players have 180 days from the date of drawing to claim a winning ticket. Wednesday’s ticket expires on April 30, 2012.
