Two “Lucky for Life” Winners Claim $25,000 a Year for Life Prizes!
More than likely Walter Jekot of Enfield and Caesar Rositto of Wethersfield are two CT Lottery players who have never met before, but still have something very much in common—within days of one another, each has claimed a Lucky for Life
draw game second prize worth $25,000 a year, every year, for life.
Jekot arrived at CT Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill to claim his “lifetime” prize for the October 19th drawing. The winning Lucky for Life numbers drawn for that date were 12 - 16 - 19 - 29 - 42 and Lucky Ball 4. Days earlier, Rositto claimed his prize winning ticket for the Lucky for Life October 12th drawing. The winning Lucky for Life numbers drawn for that date were 4 - 7 - 37 - 43 - 48 and Lucky Ball 5. To win Lucky’s second highest prize, both Jekot and Rositto each matched the first five numbers drawn, but missed the Lucky Ball number.
At the time of claim, both winners received the first of hopefully many $25,000 annual prize checks (value before taxes). The minimum guaranteed amount Lucky for Life second prize annuity winners could receive is $500,000 ($25,000 a year for 20 years), but those who live longer than that will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life. Lucky for Life second prize winners also have the option to claim their prize in a one-time cash lump sum of $390,000.
Jekot’s Lucky for Life second prize winning ticket was purchased at Red Tops Wine & Liquor in Enfield. Rositto purchased his Lucky winning ticket at Smokers Discount World in Wethersfield. Each retailer will receive a $2,500 bonus check from the CT Lottery for selling a $25,000 year for life prize winning ticket.
