CT Lottery Receives Inaugural “Sustainability Award” at La Fleur’s 2015 Global Lottery ForumThe Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) has been recognized by La Fleur’s magazine with their inaugural “Sustainability Award” for leadership in responsible gambling. The award was presented at the La Fleur’s Global Lottery Forum in Toronto, Ontario on June 16, and accepted by Chelsea Turner, CT Lottery Director of Government, Regulatory and Operational Affairs. In all, eight global lotteries received awards in the areas of corporate social responsibility, responsible gaming and the environment.
“This award recognizes CLC’s leadership for its Problem Gambling Awareness Month, which includes extensive videos and statewide campaigns. CLC also provides extensive employee training, retailer training, responsible gambling advertising and communication efforts, player education and stakeholder engagement,” said Terri Markle, Publisher of La Fleur’s magazine. “CLC has also been big supporter of ‘Strikes! for Responsible Gaming,’ an annual event at La Fleur’s Lottery Symposium in Washington, D.C. that supports the National Council on Problem Gambling’s programs, including the National Problem Gambling Helpline.”
Founded in 1991, TLF Publications has been an independent resource for the global lottery industry. TLF publishes La Fleur’s, a bi-monthly trade magazine, organizes educational conferences and publishes statistical data books, including La Fleur’s World Lottery Almanac.

The CT Lottery received an award for “Best Responsible Gambling Communications” in the Electronic Category for Retailer Training at the 2014 North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries Annual Conference and Trade Show in Atlantic City.
The CT Lottery's newsletter, Chatter that Matters™, was selected by the National Council on Problem Gambling at the organization’s 28th National Conference on Problem Gambling as the winner of the “Best New 2014 Problem Gambling-Related Newsletter.”
In 2013, the CT Lottery was selected by the National Council on problem Gambling and the International Centre for Youth Gambling Problems and High-Risk Behaviors at McGill University for the second year as the winner of the “Best 2012 U.S. Holiday Lottery Campaign.” The award recognized the CT Lottery’s continued and outstanding commitment during the holiday season to promote responsible play.
The CT Lottery participates in the World Lottery Association's responsible gaming accreditation program. In 2012, the CT Lottery achieved Level 2 Accreditation—one of only six U.S. lotteries to achieve this distinction.
