Hartford Resident Plays Lottery Tickets in Reverse and Cashes $100,000 Prize
Tylon Patterson of Hartford was making an impromptu visit to a local CT Lottery retailer when his fortune changed for the better. The lucky winner purchased a “Pinball Wizard XX
” ticket and revealed the $100,000 top prize!
Patterson plays his tickets in unique way by scratching from the bottom up. It’s a play style that Patterson used to reveal his jackpot almost immediately on Pinball Wizard XX. “I scratched the jackpot and thought it didn’t match,” Patterson told Lottery officials with a laugh. “That’s a lot of zeros there, I couldn’t believe it. I scanned it a hundred times!”
As Patterson continued to count all the zeros on his prize, he thought to tell his family the surprising news. “I went home and woke everyone up,” Patterson said while smiling. The $100,000 win is the biggest he’s ever had. “It’s a true blessing.”
Patterson wants to put his $100,000 to good use by paying off bills and purchasing his wife a vehicle. With three children to support, Patterson also looks to save some winnings for a college fund.
For selling the winning ticket, Valero located on 215 Albany Avenue will receive a $1,000 check from the CT Lottery.
