6-Years to the Date, $10,000 Winner Visits Lottery Again
Six years later, and $10,000 more! Peter Bonitatibus Jr. of Monroe cashed in on the top prize for “10X The Cash 11th Edition
” almost exactly six years after claiming a previous $10,000 prize from the CT Lottery.
“I’m just shocked!” Bonitatibus Jr. said. The lucky winner recalled that on August 17th, 2010, he visited the CT Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill to take home a surprisingly similar prize.
Bonitatibus Jr. was grabbing his morning coffee when he decided to try his luck on a scratch ticket. After playing the ticket in his car, Bonitatibus Jr. couldn’t believe his eyes! “I cleaned my glasses—I thought it was $50,” he said laughing with Lottery officials.
Bonitatibus Jr. plans to spend his winnings on home restoration. “I’ll redo the kitchen and cabinets—put the rest in the bank for an emergency fund.”
While claiming his second $10,000 prize, Bonitatibus Jr. also remembered that his father passed away six years ago. Walking out the door, he smiled and remarked, “Dad must’ve given me a zap.”
For selling the winning ticket, Stop & Go Food Mart located on 612 Main Street in Monroe will receive a $100 check from the CT Lottery.
