Big Y World Class Market Bags Another “$25,000 a Year for Life” Prize Winning Ticket
What’s on your grocery list when you go shopping at a Big Y World Class Market? A dozen eggs… a gallon of milk… a loaf of bread? How about a CT Lottery Lucky for Life
draw game ticket? If “Lucky” is not on your list, maybe it should be. In the past seven months, two Big Y customers each bagged the game’s second highest prize with winning “Quick Pick” tickets worth $25,000 a year for life. And that ain’t small potatoes, either!
Alfred Arellano of Stratford purchased his Lucky for Life Quick Pick ticket for the March 26, 2015 drawing at the Big Y of Ansonia. He missed the Lucky ball number, 15, but matched the first five numbers drawn, 26-31-33-45-46. Arellano opted to claim his $25,000 a year for life second prize at Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill in a one-time cash lump-sum of $390,000 (value before taxes).
The first Lucky for Life $25,000 a year for life prize winning ticket that was randomly generated by a Big Y World Class Market lottery terminal occurred in Avon for the August 7th drawing. The Lucky customer who purchased that ticket, John Devlin of Avon, also opted to claim his prize in a one-time cash lump-sum of $390,000.
Big Y World Class Market has been a CT Lottery retailer since 1997, with over 30 locations throughout the state.
Whenever a Lucky for Life second prize win occurs, retailers, like Big Y World Class Market, receive a $2,500 bonus check from the CT Lottery for selling the ticket.
