Danielson Man Claims Lucky for Life “$25,000 a Year for Life” Prize for May 22The CT Lottery announced today that John Crescimanno of Danielson has claimed the Lucky for Life $25,000 a Year for Life second prize for the May 22, 2014 drawing.
Crescimanno’s
Lucky for Life “Quick Pick” ticket missed the Lucky Ball number, 38, but matched five of the winning numbers drawn; 8-22-25-30-41, for the game’s $25,000 a year for life second prize. Across New England, 32,894 winning Lucky for Life tickets were purchased for that date, including 10,655 tickets in CT alone.
Crescimanno’s lucky match brings the total number of lifetime wins in New England to 25, including 9 wins in Connecticut alone since September, 2013.
The minimum guaranteed amount a second prize Lucky for Life “Annuity” winner could receive is $500,000 ($25,000 a year for 20 years), but winners who live longer than 20 years will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life.
Crescimanno opted to collect his $25,000 a year for life second prize in a one-time cash lump-sum of $390,000 (value before taxes).
For selling Crescimanno his Lucky prize winning ticket, Cumberland Farms #4632 located at 567 Wauregan Road (Route 12) in Danielson, will receive a $2,500 bonus check from the CT Lottery.
