Million Dollar Classic Lotto Jackpot Won on November 18For the second time in one month, Classic Lotto’s jackpot prize has been won—this time on a “Quick Pick” ticket purchased by Juan Brito of New Britain for the November 18, 2011 drawing. Brito, the single jackpot winning ticket holder in the game, won a cool $1,000,000.
The six numbers on Brito’s ticket were a perfect match with the Classic Lotto numbers drawn on that date, which were 3 - 11 - 16 - 18 - 30 – 38. While Brito’s winning jackpot ticket was the only one sold in that draw; there were 6,245 additional winning tickets sold with prizes from $2 up to $1,438 each.
“November was a very lucky month for CT’s lottery players. Classic Lotto’s jackpot was won twice during the month,” said Lottery President and CEO, Anne M. Noble. “We also had a Hamden resident win a ‘Lucky-4-Life’ draw game top prize worth $2,000 a week, every week for life. A group of nine co-workers employed by Data-Mail in Newington matched five Powerball numbers with Power Play for a $1,000,000 prize, and Powerball’s $254.2 million jackpot was won in CT on November 2. It’s been an unbelievable month, and we’re very excited for our players.”
Classic Lotto’s jackpot prize is payable as a 21-year annuity or as a one-time cash lump-sum. Brito selected the game’s one-time cash lump-sum value of $676,774 (before taxes).
For selling Brito his jackpot winning ticket, Sam’s Food Store, located at 168 Farmington Avenue in New Britain, will receive a $10,000 bonus from the CT Lottery.
