Bristol Toolmaker's "Lucky Pick" is a $10,000 Prize WinnerMiguel Gonzalez of Bristol was full of holiday cheer when he recently claimed a $10,000 “Lucky-4-Life” drawing game prize for matching 4 of the Lucky-4-Life numbers drawn December 9, 2010. Though he did not match the Lucky Ball, which was 16, Gonzalez had no complaints, “It's a very big bonus, especially at Christmas,” said Gonzalez with a grin.
After the drawing, Gonzalez, a toolmaker by trade, compared his $2 Lucky-4-Life “Quick Pick” ticket against a Winning Numbers printout available from a retailer and saw his 4-number match of 02-12-14-26. “I knew I won some sort of prize, but I didn’t know how much,” Gonzalez said. Checking a Lucky-4-Life Prize Payout table, he discovered his $10,000 second prize win ($6,870 after taxes). He was quick to share the good news with his wife, friends and co-workers. "I'll buy some stuff," said Gonzalez of his prize, "but I'm also going to pay some bills."
Gonzalez joins several other lucky Bristol residents, who have won $10,000 Lucky-4-Life this year, including: James Demaria, Peter Zawilinski, Diane Joy and Matthew Daigle. Throughout the state, a total of 148 Lucky-4-Life prize winners have claimed $10,000 prizes year to date.
Gonzalez purchased his winning Lucky-4-Life ticket at Stop & Shop, located on Farmington Avenue in Bristol.
