More than 69 percent of the CT Lottery’s “New Year’s Million Dollar Super Draw” tickets have been sold for the January 1, 2012 special drawing. An estimated 84,033 tickets of the available 275,000 remained as of 9:26 a.m. on December 23.
CT Lottery players have until December 31, or until all 275,000 tickets sell out, to have the chance to start 2012 with a $1,000,000 win! Sales of New Year’s Million Dollar Super Draw tickets began October 1, 2011.
With a maximum of 275,000 tickets and a guaranteed $1,000,000 top prize to be drawn, New Year’s Million Dollar Super Draw tickets provides players the best chance to become Connecticut’s newest “Lottery Millionaire.”
For each $10 ticket, the game offers a 1 in 275,000 chance of winning $1,000,000 – the best odds ever offered by the CT Lottery for winning a million dollars. Overall odds are 1 in 210. The drawing will award one top prize of $1,000,000 cash; ten $20,000 cash prizes; 50 prizes of $1,000 cash; and 1,250 prizes of $100 cash. A total of 1,311 prizes worth $1,375,000 will be awarded. Tickets are sold in sequential order from 100001 to 375000.
“With just 8 days until the drawing, sales are brisk and we expect the remaining tickets to sell out quickly,” said Anne M. Noble, President and CEO for the CT Lottery.
The drawing is scheduled to be held on January 1, 2012. FOX-CT will broadcast results for the $1,000,000 top prize and ten $20,000 prizes during its 10:00 p.m. “News at Ten” show. The remaining 1,300 winning ticket numbers will be selected, but will not be televised live due to time constraints.
A complete list of all 1,311 winning raffle ticket numbers will be available following the drawing at CT Lottery retail locations and at ctlottery.org.
The game is expected to return proceeds of approximately $1 million to the state’s General Fund.
