Last Night's Powerball Drawing Creates a $1,000,000 Win for ConnecticutWhile the second largest Powerball® jackpot of the year—a whopping $310.5 million—was won last night on a single winning ticket sold in Michigan, someone who purchased a $2 Powerball ticket in Tolland County woke up today $1,000,000 richer as a result of matching the first five numbers drawn on September 30, 2015.

The winning Powerball numbers on September 30 were 21-39-40-55-59 the Powerball number was 17. In total, 27,001 winning Powerball tickets were sold statewide for that date, with prizes ranging from $4 to $1,000,000.

Winning tickets must be claimed within 180 calendar days of the drawing date before the prize expires. CT Lottery officials encourage all players to please check their tickets online at ctlottery.org, by scanning in a lottery Ticket Checker, or at any lottery retailer location.
