CT Lottery Players Hit a Triple with 3-3-3
It was a win-win-win for lucky lottery players who had 3 – 3 – 3 on their Play3 Day
tickets for the October 22, 2014 drawing. Statewide, 1,977 winning wagers were sold and after all winning claims are presented, $764,600 in prize money will be paid out by the CT Lottery. This is the second largest payout in Play3 Day history for the triple three sequence.
Since the Play3 Day game began, 3 – 3 – 3 has been drawn six times in the daily drawing with the last combination being picked on August 11, 2010.
“3 – 3 – 3 is a frequently played triple digit number. We will welcome many happy winners over the next few days. We haven’t had triple digits in a while—we share our players’ excitement,” said Anne M. Noble, CT Lottery President and CEO.
Because prize payouts in the game are based upon amount wagered, players could have won $250 (for a $.50 wager) up to $2,500 (for a $5.00 wager). High-Tier Centers are able to cash CT Lottery prizes up to $5,000.
Though the bulk of winners will most likely redeem their tickets in the next few days, players with winning tickets have 180 calendar days from the date of draw to collect their winnings. The Lottery encourages all winners to redeem their tickets promptly.
