Two "$25,000 a Year for Life" Winning Tickets Sold in Fairfield and Hartford County!
July 29, 2014 --
Last night’s “Lucky for Life” lottery drawing for July 28 resulted in TWO second prize winning tickets for Connecticut—one ticket was sold in Fairfield County and the other in Hartford County.
The winning Lucky for Life
numbers on July 28, 2014 were 4-7-17-19-27 with the Lucky Ball number, 27. Two tickets contained the winning combination for the game’s second prize of $25,000 a year for life.
Across New England, 44,541 winning Lucky for Life tickets were purchased for that date, including 13,814 tickets in CT alone. Last night’s two Lucky matches bring the total number of lifetime wins in New England to 33, including 13 wins in Connecticut alone since September 2013.
Because the CT Lottery does not know who the winners are until the prizes are claimed, players should check and sign their winning tickets immediately to establish ownership.
CT Lottery officials are also on the lookout for the Lucky for Life second prize winner for the February 27, 2014 drawing. The $25,000 a year for life prize winning ticket was sold in New Haven County and is still unclaimed. The winning numbers for that date were 8-11-17-24-43 with the Lucky Ball number, 30. The winning ticket holder has only until Tuesday, August 26, 2014 to claim the prize before it expires. The CT Lottery encourages all players to please check their tickets carefully.
The minimum guaranteed amount a second prize winner could receive is $500,000 ($25,000 a year for 20 years), but winners who live longer than that will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life. The second prize “Cash Option” is worth $390,000. Updated 08/05/14:
