CT Lottery Wins Newsletter Award at National Council on Problem Gambling Annual Awards Event

The CT Lottery was selected by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) as the winner of the “Newsletter Award” at the organization’s 28th National Conference on Problem Gambling in Orlando, FL on July 12. The award recognized the CT Lottery’s employee newsletter, Chatter that Matters™, as the best new problem gambling-related newsletter.
“I am very proud that the NCPG has recognized our staff’s collective efforts to promote responsible gambling through a newsletter. The award exemplifies our commitment to meeting the highest standards in our industry for corporate social responsibility, and is a tribute to our team,” said Anne M. Noble, CT Lottery President and CEO.
A commitment to responsible gambling education and awareness is a core value of the CT Lottery. Chatter that Matters™, a quarterly newsletter headed up by Chelsea Turner, CT Lottery Director of Government, Regulatory and Operational Affairs, is written by employees, and designed to help keep co-workers and stakeholders informed about the Lottery’s efforts to promote responsible gambling, supplier diversity, pro business initiatives and green initiatives.
The CT Lottery also participates in the World Lottery Association's responsible gaming accreditation program. In 2012, the CT Lottery achieved Level 2 Accreditation – one of only six U.S. lotteries to achieve this distinction, and it is now working towards Level 3 Accreditation.
