I think I have a top prize ticket, but the numbers don't match. What do I do?
If you don't have a number match, you don't have a top prize ticket. In other words, a top prize ticket will ALWAYS have a number match. Whenever in doubt, sign the back of your ticket and have it scanned and verified by a lottery retailer.
I lost (or threw away) my winning ticket. Can I still claim my prize?
No. Losing a scratch ticket is almost like losing cash. Protect yourself by signing the back of your tickets when you buy them. (At the very least, sign any winning tickets, even before claiming your prize.) Lottery tickets are bearer instruments. Unless you sign a ticket, anyone else who has the ticket can claim the prize.
What happens if I die before I get to claim the guaranteed $1 million?
In the event of a winner's death, the Lottery pays any remaining payments to the winner's estate.
