CT Lottery players now have more than 253 million reasons to get into the Powerball
Saturday's Powerball jackpot has climbed to an impressive $253 million with a projected cash value of $170.5 million after no ticket sold in Wednesday's drawing matched all the winning numbers drawn. One lucky ticket holder in Connecticut, however, matched 5 numbers and won $1,000,000, so check your tickets!
The winning numbers on August 8 were 3 - 7 - 11 - 15 - 28 and the Powerball was 12. Statewide, a total of 22,080 winning tickets were sold with prizes ranging from $4 to $1,000,000.
Saturday will be the 14th consecutive drawing since a $60 million Powerball jackpot was last won on June 23 by Connecticut residents Noel and Fredda Peel
"We're hoping that Saturday night's lucky numbers produce another jackpot prize winner from the Nutmeg State,” said CT Lottery’s President and CEO, Anne M. Noble.
Powerball is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59pm and is offered at more than 2,700 lottery locations statewide.
The CT Lottery reminds the public that purchasers must be 18 or older, and to please play responsibly.
